The Cleveland Police Foundation wishes to extend its deepest sympathies to the family of Officer Raymond Francel. Officer Francel, age 53, of North Ridgeville, passed away suddenly on January 11, 2023.

Fourth District Welcomes Back Officer Przybylski

For the last 13 months, Officer Przybylski has fought endlessly against her fight with stage 4 ovarian cancer. Thankfully, Officer Przybylski is currently in remission and her spirits are higher than ever.

Among the many programs and activities available today, PAL stands alone as the only program that provides daily interaction with police officers in the community. In fact, it’s not unusual to find present-day PAL volunteers, coaches and police officers who participated in PAL as children. The vast majority of today’s PAL kids come from minority and low income families.

The Pipes and Drums of the Cleveland Division of Police represents the Division and the law enforcement community of Greater Cleveland at parades, ceremonies and civic functions, including final honors to more than 100 law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. This is one of the Cleveland Police programs our organization supports with your donations.

On the Eighth Day of Christmas… The Cleveland Police Honor Guard

The Cleveland Police Honor Guard ensures that all appropriate courtesies are rendered at the funerals and memorial services for active and retired police officers, especially those who die in the line of duty. Additionally, they represent the Division at civic functions, parades and sporting events by serving as its color guard, and with its precision marching and drill.

A big thank you goes to the Cleveland Police Neighborhood Districts; the CPD Bureau of Community Policing; the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights and the University Circle police departments and Passion For Fishing for partnering with us and for making sure kids had a great time while learning about respect for the environment, sports fishing as a hobby and working together as a team… and getting to know police officers in a fun situation.

The fifth and final Community Relations Awards Ceremony honoring Second District police and community members was held at Mt. Carmel Church last week. Those honored were awarded either a Special Commendation Award, a Commander’s Commendation, a Citizens Award Plaque, or a Community Service Award presented by the Cleveland Police Foundation.
