Third District Officers Clinch One-Point Victory in Community Basketball Game

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and sportsmanship, the dedicated officers of the Third District joined forces with the spirited Eagles of Wade Park Elementary, along with the committed school staff, for a memorable basketball game. With the stands filled with enthusiastic students cheering every dribble and basket, the game epitomized the essence of community engagement. In a nail-biting finish that kept everyone on the edge of their seats, the officers managed to secure a slender victory by just one point over their youthful competitors.

This friendly yet competitive encounter on the court goes beyond the game; it’s a testament to the officers’ commitment to building bridges with the community they serve. The Cleveland Division of Police, in collaboration with the Cleveland Police Foundation, City of Cleveland – City Hall, and the City of Cleveland Public Safety Recruitment, continues to foster a positive relationship with the community. Supported by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Partnership for a Safer Cleveland, CMSD Family & Community Engagement, and the venerated Cleveland Schools Sports Legends of Cleveland Public Schools Senate League, events like these underscore a shared goal of unity and engagement. It’s a shining example of how sports can bring people together, celebrating the spirit of Cleveland and the men and women in blue who proudly proclaim, #weloveclevelandpolice.
