“Shop with a Pro” teams Browns Players and PAL Kids

On December 14th, 2021 Dick’s Sporting Goods in Westlake held a “Shop with a Pro” event for 10 lucky Cleveland Police Athletic League kids.  The children received a meal from Chick-fil-A and were later surprised to shop with three Cleveland Browns players, Jadeveon Clowney, Ronnie Harrison, and Curtis Weaver.  Most of the youth purchased warm clothing, boots, and sports equipment.  A very special thanks to Mr. Nick Cipkus, Dick’s Community Marketing Manager for Northeast Ohio, who set up the entire event.  A big thanks to Dick’s for donating $2,000 to CLE PAL!

With the help of agents from the Adult Parole Authority, CLE PAL provided turkeys and meals for 86 families in Cuyahoga County the week before Christmas.  Thank you to all the parole officers who gave their time and efforts to make someone’s holiday a little brighter!

To top it off, A Kidz Club and Coats for Kids joined together with PAL to provide warm clothing, coats, hats, scarfs, and mittens for the annual “Keeping Resee’s Kids Warm” event at Arbor Park in the Cleveland Police Third District.  Resee Brown, our Program Director, organizes the event each year.  Resee was in the hospital for several weeks but still made sure the event went forward.

Thanks to everyone who made the 2021 Holiday Season special for our Cleveland PAL Kids!
