We are excited to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Officer Steve Salim on earning the esteemed title of First District Officer of the Month! Officer Salim’s profound dedication to service was recently highlighted when a fellow CPD detective suffered serious injuries off-duty. Upon the detective’s return home, facing a daunting recovery and the challenge of a home not suited for wheelchair access, Officer Salim stepped forward with compassion and skill.
Together with two other Division members, Officer Salim personally purchased materials and constructed a wheelchair ramp at the detective’s residence. This act of kindness is a testament to his deep commitment to our community, the people he protects, and his brothers and sisters in uniform.
Officer Salim’s daily display of care and dedication to our city and its residents does not go unnoticed. We are truly grateful for his service. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, Officer Salim, and thank you for your inspiring actions!
