Mowing with Cops

The Cleveland Police Foundation is proud to be teaming up with the Cleveland Division of Police for the Mowing with a Cop program.

This idea was initiated by 2nd District Patrol Officer Heather Lindsay who contacted Rodney Smith of the Raising Men and Women organization that provided a Toro Lawnmower to the Cleveland Police Foundation complete with police strobe light. Officer Lindsay and Lt. Tim Maffo-Judd’s combined idea is to contact residents within the city that may not be able to cut their lawn and schedule a date for them to have a crew of CPD officers do it for them.

A big thank you to Rodney Smith who included the Cleveland Division of Police in his visits to police departments nationwide to further pursue the Community Policing concept that is more than ever needed at this time.
