Joining Together to Provide Necessities

Since 2014, the Second District Police have conducted an annual sock and underwear drive to help people who are experiencing homelessness.  Founded by Sergeant Mitch Sheehan, this donation event is now led by Lieutenant Tim Maffo-Judd.

Shown in the photo to the left are Patrol Officer Jen Dziuba, the lieutenant, and Patrol Officer Chris Lozinak, who worked together coordinating logistics.

All donations will be delivered to the organizations and shelter sites in the area that serve people who are homeless.

A special thanks goes out to the Waterfront District Block Club and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office for the bulk of these donations.

And of course a huge shout-out to everyone in the community who supported this effort…another great example of the Division of Cleveland Police joining together with the community to help people in need!
