Simply amazing amount of work – impossible to track it all! Here are photos from a handful of the many different events local Police Officers were involved in in over just a once month period.
- 4th District Officers contributed to Dick Clough’s Christmas Tour of Good Cheer at Garden Valley Estates.
- Chia Min-Chen from Community Relations helped organize the monthly food driver at the Sterling Rec Center. Look for the next one on Feb. 6 from 2-4 PM.
- SGT Maffo’s CSU unit led the way as the 2nd district supported the Sock and Underwear Drive.
- Shavon and her daughter Demi enjoy a crib, given as part of the Cops N Cribs program.
- Cleveland participates in National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day every January 9th.
- 1st district community engagement officers have fun with the children at Westside School of the Arts. The school donated over 1,000 pounds of food in the recent food drive, so the 1st district and Crust Pizza brought them a pizza party.
- Captain Sulzer visited East Lake to read and give out copies of Police In Our School.
- College Now awards Captain Sulzer with its Mentor of the Year award.
- Officers attend Fiesta de Reyes at the Buehrer school. They donated toys to the event.
- Clark Elementary donated 1200 pounds of food, so CPF, Cops for Kids, and Sea of Blue arrived with a pizza party. The canine unit was perhaps the best treat.
- Antonio Andino and Erik Melendez from the 4th district visited Eastabrook Rec to talk with children and get in some sparring.
- Lt. Ed Lentz poses with bystanders after saving a life with CPR while attending a wrestling tournament.
- Cleveland Police played the Cleveland State dodgeball team during the Proforma Dodgeball Challenge. CSU donated their winnings to Cleveland Cops for Kids.
- Rob Slattery and the residents of Brooklyn Acres donated supplies for the homeless that officers can hand out this winter.
- The New Horizons program helps people take the path to homeownership. Here, a child looks at her new home.
