- The Cleveland Police Foundation was joined by police officers from Community Policing and the Cleveland office of the FBI for our monthly visit to MetroHealth’s Pediatric Unit. We of course had a great time with the children, families, and staff passing out gifts, smiles, and laughter.
- David, a local cook in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood, was recently robbed of his bicycle, his only means of transportation. David cares for his two children and his brother who is blind. Second District officers wanted to help, so they contacted the Cleveland Police Foundation. CPF, with some help from the officers, bought David a new bike and presented it to him at his job.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Cleveland Cops for Kids partnered with the Spanish American Committee to support their Three Kings Celebration on Saturday January 6 at the Little Footsteps Bilingual Child Enrichment Center
- The City of Cleveland came together at Sterling Recreation Center at East 32nd and St. Clair on January 3rd to help our residents during this frigid winter cold spell!! The Cleveland Food Bank and dozens of volunteers distributed 6,000 pounds of fresh fruits, vegetables, and other foods.
- The Second District Sock & Underwear Drive benefits homeless people served through the Metanoia Project. Thousands of items were collected, including sweatshirts, coats, hats and gloves, along with the socks and underwear.
- Cleveland police want to thank St Francis School, 7206 Myron, for hosting their 3rd annual Safety Forces Appreciation Day!! Cleveland Police officers from the 5th District and Community Policing joined Cleveland Fire fighters at a luncheon and had the opportunity to sit down at lunch and talk to some terrific kids and staff!

- Cleveland Cops Adopt a School Project: Cleveland Community Policing Unit had a great time at Mary Queen of Peace School with the kindergarten and pre-school classes!
- The Cleveland Police Foundation wants to thank Setta Trophy, Inc. for donating this wonderful plaque for the surprise retirement party for our beloved K9 Benny and his handler P.O. Paul Fronckowiak.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Cops for Kids teamed up with Mary Queen of Peace School to throw a surprise retirement party for our K9 Officer Benny! The entire school turned out to wish Benny a happy retirement and the kids sang B E N N Y to the tune of BINGO.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Cops for Kids want to thank HF Group for donating boxes of childrens books to our Little Free Library Project, helping police promote literacy in Cleveland.
- Cleveland Police Community Policing and the Cleveland Police Foundation had the pleasure of spending some time with the 1st and 2nd graders at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic School. We talked safety, police work, the importance of literacy and education, and read a book together. The kids’ questions and their behavior were incredible.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation wants to thank Chuck Hovan and the Plain Press, along with all of the other local news papers in our neighborhoods, for telling our stories of positive interactions between police and the communities we serve!
- The Cleveland Police Foundation wants to thank Avon Lake United Church of Christ and the Reverend Kelly Brill for donating 100 new stuffed animals to our Cleveland Cops for Kids programs.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Community Policing want to thank those in our community that look after our homeless and those in need on cold and rainy winter days! We caught Jim Schlecht from Care Alliance, Liam Hagerty from St Edward HS, and Paul Sherlock from Metanoia red handed on South Marginal Rd. helping others.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Community Policing support College Now Greater Cleveland and want to salute the 1,100 mentors who have volunteered over 24,000 hours in the past year! College Now Greater Cleveland is celebrating its 50th anniversary and in the last 50 years they have awarded $71 million in scholarships.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Sgt Tim Maffo-Judd want to recognize the wonderful members and staff at the West Park YMCA for donating to the 2nd District’s Underwear and Sock Drive for the Homeless.
