Despite being a cold and rainy day, we had over a 100 attendees at October 28’s Health & Justice Fair at Martin Luther King, Jr. Career Academy. The event provided re-entry resources for adults, wellness/safety workshops and more.
In addition to the resource tables, families enjoyed the Zen meditation tent, drumming sessions, Juvenile Justice Jeopardy, painting pumpkins, making dream catchers and enjoying healthy food served by Chef April and the Jane Adams culinary program, among others. Our providers also had an opportunity to network and make new connections. Officer Sam was great and everyone enjoyed him.
