On Saturday, November 15, 2014, the Cleveland Police Foundation hosted its primary fund raising event, The Third Annual Gala, in the Grand Ballroom of the Renaissance Hotel Cleveland.

Headline entertainment The Return, known as one of the best Beatles cover bands in the country, entertained the guests and graciously provided many John, Paul, George and Ringo photo ops.

Celebrity MC Martin Savidge, anchor and correspondent for CNN, and his lovely wife Blis enjoyed their authentic CLE “Welcome Home!” and took in some of our new and exciting sights while here.

Guests had the opportunity to purchase several unique, “you can’t buy this anywhere but at the CPF Gala” auction items, while supporting a great cause.

Additionally, those who have made significant contributions to improving the quality of life in our community were recognized:

For Outstanding Community Service By An Individual:

  • Police Officer of the Year: Patrol Officer Anna Mercado, Community Policing
  • CPF Founders Award: Mr. Michael McGrath, Safety Director City of Cleveland
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Retired Chief Edward Kovacic
  • Man of the Year Award: Mr. Mitchell Schneider, President, First Interstate Properties

For Outstanding Community Service By An Organization:

  • Second District Neighborhood Community Relations Committee
  • Block By Block, Downtown Cleveland Alliance Ambassador Program

Mark your calendar for November 14, 2015 – so you don’t miss this fun event that provides support to so many deserving and important police charities under the umbrella of the Cleveland Police Foundation.
