The 2016 Greater Cleveland Caucus Saturday offered a healthy alternative to the fierce partisanship that has overtaken the national political conversation. The caucus offered residents and leaders a chance to set aside partisanship and to set priorities instead, in eight different areas, triggering conversations that were lively and remarkably harmonious at the same time.
They areas were education; the environment; health; housing & neighborhoods; inclusion, population & demographics, jobs and the economy; safety, and transportation & infrastructure. The program was put together by the Cleveland Foundation and partner organizations that included the Cleveland City Club.
