Feliz Navidad! A Latino Holiday Celebration at Buhrer Elementary

The air was filled with the sounds of “Feliz Navidad” and other Latino holiday songs at Cleveland’s Buhrer Elementary School on the morning of December 14th. The school was hosting its annual holiday concert for families, featuring its youth guitar group.

The Cleveland Police Foundation, in partnership with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD), the Hispanic Officers Association, and the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society, are collaborating to support this arts initiative. The goal is to have Division of Police officers with similar musical interests engage in these events with the students.

This partnership is part of an overall broader initiative by The Foundation to engage officers with students in the CMSD system in non-traditional venues of mutual interest in the arts.

The Cleveland Police Foundation is the official charity for the Cleveland Division of Police and the only organization authorized to solicit charitable contributions on its behalf.

We provide funding for youth and community outreach programs, community policing and engagement initiatives, safety & crime prevention programs, and support the members of the Cleveland Division of Police to help them better perform their duties. Contributions to the CPF are tax deductible under section 501 (c)(3) of the IRS Code.
