Blessings for Badges Ceremony to take place March 30th

“To honor and respect those who serve and protect.”

On Thursday, March 3oth, 2017, at Antioch Baptist Church (8869 Cedar Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44016) as we honor Law Enforcement Personnel, Fire Fighters, and Emergency Medical Technicians at Cleveland Clinic’s second annual Blessing of the Badges Ceremony.

A reception will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served. Ceremony begins promptly at 7:00pm.

Commander David Wright of the Cleveland Clinic Police Department and Thomas Beers, Manager of Cleveland Clinic EMS, are the Honorary Chairmen for the event.

This interfaith prayer ceremony brings those who wear the badges that represent honor, dignity, truth and justice together to recognize their service and dedication.

Prayer will be offered to all first responders for their safety, their families, and their abilities as they perform their daily duties.

This year’s ceremony pay tribute to Officer David J. Fahey, Jr. of the Cleveland Police Department, Trooper Kenneth V. Velez of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Retired Firefighter Mark Horton of the Elyria Fire Department, who also served as Secretary/Treasure of the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters.
