National Night Out Against Crime

Elijah Muhammad receives a certificate for a new bike for his hard work and creativity.

For the National Night Out Against Crime, Cleveland celebrated at Steelyard Commons with family activities, live music, and free food. Second Neighborhood District Patrol Officer Mo Varga was presented a plaque of appreciation by The Cleveland Police Foundation. He had saved the life of a victim of a fiery motor vehicle accident, coincidentally occurring at Steelyard Commons. To top off the night, Cops for Kids bought two bicycles and presented them to the winners of the City of Cleveland’s Superhero drawing contest, sponsored by the Cleveland Division of Police Community Relations Department. Look for National Night Out Against Crime in 2018 on August 7th.  Take back the streets!
