Glenna from Columbia Station was incapacitated for nearly a year with broken bones, so she occupied herself with making these soft and fuzzy blankets paired with matching stuffed animals. She really wanted to give these to first responders to have to comfort kids who are either being taken from their homes, in the hospital, or are otherwise in distress after an accident, DV, etc. Through a retired police commander’s wife she got in touch with the Cleveland Police Foundation… and asked if we could get them into the right hands, and of course we will do just that. These will be great to give out to kids at MetroHealth, or to kids affected by crimes and/or tragedies. Thank you to Glenna and her incredible mother for taking the time to put so much love into these blankets, our children will cherish them and our officers will hand them out with pride.
