Cleveland officials were on hand as the Cleveland Police Department unveiled its new, nearly $20 million station. Mayor Frank Jackson, along with Chief of Police Calvin Williams and Director of Public Safety Michael McGrath were present at the grand opening ceremony for the police department’s new Third District police station.
The new station, located at 4501 Chester Avenue, is touted as an energy-efficient facility featuring local artwork. The 61,400-square-foot station is three stories tall and also has a community room for public meetings and events. A ceremony was held at the old Third District police station to honor officers in that district killed in the line of duty. Read more
