On Tuesday, June 2nd I visited a former childhood destination of mine, Goodrich-Gannett along with Community Policing Officers, Captain Keith Sulzer, and my former partner Sam Anderson. The Officers were invited to present the Stranger Danger Program, and field questions from the children participating in the summer camp program. The kids were divided into two groups and were very attentive, and respectful to the officers and didn’t hesitate to ask them questions that included, why they became officers, the equipment they use, and police work in general. The children were also asked by the officers what they wanted to be when they grow up and I heard doctors, lawyers, teachers, fireman, and yes even police officers. What a great morning I had watching the interaction between these officers, and the kids from Goodrich-Gannett, and I truly believe they will achieve their goals and maybe we will find some future officers from this group. Thank you, Goodrich-Gannett for inviting me, and a big thank you to Captain Sulzer, Officer Anderson, and all the kids that made this event a success.
