Cleveland police investigating a suspected heroin overdose end up rescuing a toddler left home alone. Police found a 33-year-old woman dead of a suspected heroin overdose in Cleveland Wednesday morning at 4 a.m. The woman’s body was found inside a vehicle on Fulton Road and Henry Speeth Drive.
Paperwork in the vehicle led detectives to an address in Lakewood. There they found a 2-year-old baby girl inside and looking for food. Detectives fed the child and contacted the Department of Children and Family Services. The child is in the care of the county until she can be placed with family members or in foster care.
