Dogs Make a Difference,
And So Can You!
โGiving Tuesdayโ is November 28th โ and the perfect time this holiday season to support the Cleveland Police Foundation in the funding of the Cleveland Division of Police’s second community relations/therapy dog. The need is $10,000.
The therapy/community relations dogs will be used to assist in high stress and trauma incidents involving children as well as officers in the City’s Third Police District which encompasses the center of Cleveland, the City’s most densely populated area.
It’s no question when it comes to police work that dogs make a difference. These highly trained animals and their handlers have shown their worth as community relations/therapy resources for both the community and police officers. Moreover, police K9s have been effective in drug and bomb detection, and missing person searches.
The new community relations/therapy dog will fulfill two missions:
– Community relations outreach particularly with the City’s youth, and
– Assisting in high stress and trauma incidents involving children and officers.
A community relations/therapy dog is win-win for the community and for our officers.
We hope you will be able to support this yearโs โGiving Tuesdayโ initiative of the Cleveland Police Foundation. Help us reach our goal here: https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/B0lx9GrLnbZuRVRcZAnT9Q.
