Euclid Observer, October 2013
Fitness and Wellness Challenges were held in September at Euclid Hospital and Edgewater Park for The Cleveland Police Department. Police officers and staff completed heart health screenings and a body fat analysis along with exercise testing at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in an effort to promote wellness throughout the police department.
The 2013 Fitness Challenge will carry out over a six-month period supported by not only the Cleveland Police Department’s own fitness team but also by Cleveland Clinic’s Euclid Hospital.
“We believe that the Cleveland Police Department and Euclid Hospital share important profiles in the community which will lead us all to a healthier future,” said Michael Koch, MD, Cardiovascular Medicine at Euclid Hospital. “We are proud of the relationship that we have developed with the Cleveland Police Department and feel privileged to support them in their pursuit of health and wellness.”
Euclid Hospital will be holding health screenings and monthly health talks featuring speakers from their staff and the Wellness Institute at Cleveland Clinic throughout the year.
