- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Cleveland Cops for Kids want to thank Emilie from the Larchmere neighborhood for donating 2 boxes of chiildrens’ books to our Little Free Library program. Emilie, a retired school teacher, understands that promoting literacy and education will make Cleveland a stronger and safer community!
- At the Cleaning with Cops event in April there were volunteers picking up trash in every police district. The Cleveland Police Foundation wants to thank the organizers or this event, and we salute and thank all of the officers and citizens who came out to clean up their neighborhoods.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation wants to recognize the City of Cleveland’s Community Relations Department and Asian Liaison Chia-min Chen, the Department of Aging, and the Cleveland Food Bank for providing much needed food for our seniors and those in need in our community!
- Cleveland Cops for Kids and the Cleveland Police Foundation want to thank all of our sponsors and those who attended our Casino Royale Fundraiser on Tuesday evening, April 24. Performances by Elvis and the Rat Pack and More were a huge hit, as was the beautiful Trinity Cathedral venue! Thank you also to Rascal House and Nico Frangos for donating the food.
- Cleveland Cops for Kids and the Cleveland Police Foundation want to thank retired CPD officer John Hupka, AKA Elvis, for performing for our Casino Royale Cops for Kids fundraiser. Las Vegas wouldn’t be the same without Elvis crooning for the ladies and entertaining the crowd!
- The Cleveland Police Foundation wants to thank Tenable Protective Services for sponsoring our April 24th Cops for Kids fundraiser!
- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Community Policing participated in a panel discussion at Cleveland Public Theatre following the play Br’er Cotton on Saturday evening. Br’er Cotton is a powerful play targeting racism and police issues plaguing our country.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Cops for Kids teamed up with the Cleveland Police NICE (Neighborhood Impact and Community Engagement) Unit to donate and deliver furniture, clothing, toys, diapers, and other needed household items for the 30+ families from Rainbow Terrace who lost their homes by a recent fire. NICE and Community Policing officers joined Garden Valley staff and hauled in donated furniture to several apartments.
- Officers from the First District attended “Coffee with the Cops” today at Hatfield’s Goode Grub. We would like to say thank you to Hatfield’s Goode Grub, Councilman Keane, City of Cleveland Community Relations, Cleveland Clinic, The Cleveland Police Foundation, residents and everyone in attendance. We had great conversations concerning the neighborhood and an assortment of topics.
- Cleveland Cops for Kids thanks “The Rat Pack and More,” “Frank” Damion Fontaine and “Dean” Scott Brotherton for performing at our Cops for Kids event in April!
- Cleveland Cops for Kids and the Cleveland Police Foundation want to thank P.O. Sharon Davis from Community Policing for donating her photo booth to our Cops for Kids Fundraiser. Creating memories that will last a lifetime!
- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Cops for Kids were proud to support another Progress with Chess. Detectives Carl Bowers, Michael Belle, and Erwin Eberhardt, CPF’s 2017 Officers of the Year, again did an amazing job!
- 2nd District’s Officer Bartlebaugh recently handled a stolen bike report for John Senga, a young refugee from the Congo. John’s sole means of transportation to school was his bike. Officer Bartlebaugh was so impressed with John that he reached out to Cleveland Cops for Kids who donated a bike to John. Thank you Officer Bartlebaugh for looking out for our children!
- Officers Melendez and Greczanik spent some time at AJ Rickoff STEM School at an after school event promoting science, technology, engineering, and math. The officers worked with the kids at making ballon powered paper cars and rubber band powered wooden cars.
