On September 22, 2022 the Cleveland Division of Police Third District Community Relations Awards Ceremony was held at the Fatima Family Center. A fine crowd turned out to honor both CPD officers and citizens that have gone beyond the call of duty while serving their community.
The Cleveland Police Foundation also participated by presenting our Community Service Awards to the CPD Violent Crime Reduction Team, Lajean Ray of the Fatima Family Center, and the Third District Awards Committee. The host for the event was Channel 19’s own Harry Boomer and also in attendance was Mayor Bibb, Chief Drummond and numerous other city officials. Representing and awarding the plaques from the Cleveland Police Foundation were Executive Director Rick DeChant, board member Jim Craciun and Community Outreach Coordinator Bob Guttu.
After the ceremony a delicious dinner was served and enjoyed by all. Congratulations to all the recipients and thank you, to all the family and friends that turned out to honor these individuals at this very special event.
