Unity in the Community

The children really worked hard to win the hula hoop contest, and they were all very surprised when they learned they were all winners and got to keep the hula hoops.

It was a warm, and beautiful Saturday as folks from the St. Malachi’s neighborhood came to celebrate the annual ” Unity in the Community ” held on the church grounds. The event was sponsored by The Cleveland Police Foundation, and once again hosted by Captain Keith Sulzer of the Community Policing Unit. There were two bikes raffled off donated by the ” Cops for Kids ” and the children enjoyed hot dogs for lunch, and a wide variety of games, and activities. Also in attendance were Commander Ellis Johnson, of the Community Policing Unit, Commander Tom Stacho of the Second District, and C.P.D. officers from Community Policing, and Community Service officers from the Second District. A big thank you goes out to Captain Sulzer, and everyone involved that helped to make this a successful community event.

The children really enjoyed the break a balloon game and the opportunity to win a prize.
