Community Policing and the Cleveland Police Foundation have partnered with Little Free Library and Channel 3 to bring this program to Cleveland and Cleveland Police. The purpose for CPD is to not only fight illiteracy in our community, but also to make our lobbies more kid friendly, and to create more interactions between the children of our community and our Cleveland Police Officers. Community Policing is the responsibility of all Cleveland Police officers, and officers are encouraged to take some time to engage children that are in our lobbies, and encourage them to read. Children are allowed to take the books home and are encouraged to bring them back, or bring back books that they would like to share with other children.
