- 12th Annual Stockyard Bikeathon sponsored by Metro West, Clark School, Stockyard School, Bike Cleveland, Cleveland Police, 2nd District Community Relations Committee, the City of Cleveland, and the Cleveland Police Foundation!
- The Cleveland Police Foundation and Cops for Kids spent Saturday at Burke Lakefront Airport at the International Women’s Air and Space Museum’s Free Family Day. Cleveland Police officers from Community Policing and the 3rd District passed out gift bags with stuffed animals and police coloring books, crayons, and badges.
- There is nothing like spending some time reading and talking safety with 30 some kindergarteners! Community Policing engages our most precious assets, our children. This event was at Harvey Rice Elementary School.
- The Second District Community Engagement Officers, P.O. Hageman and P.O. Garcia spent some time at Clark Elementary School on the afternoon of May 4th. Carol Mains and Safety To Go were there with a safety town for the kids. They taught traffic safety, water safety, and other safety tips to students from kindergarten to 2nd grade.
- Officers from across the city took part in a friendly basketball game against Z107.9 radio station (ZHipHopCleveland.com) at the Boys and Girls Club on Broadway Ave. CPD won the game but the community ended up winning in the end! Thank you to all of the participants.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation continues to fulfill our mission statement by donating a Power Tower Exercise Conditioner to the Cleveland Division of Police 5th District Gymnasium.
- The Cleveland Division of Police Pipes & Drums and Honor Guard participated in the Annual Emerald Society & Pipe Band Parade. This event includes law enforcement departments from across the United States. The parade ended at the National Police Officers Memorial and a viewing of the inscribed name of Fallen Cleveland Patrol Officer David J. Fahey, Jr.
- The Cleveland Police Foundation wants to thank all police chaplains for supporting our men and women in blue! (This was at the Police Week in May).
- Cleveland Police Honor Guard and Pipes & Drums in Washington, DC for National Police Memorial Day, May 15th.
