Ice Cream Truck Goodies Funded for Summer 2020!

The Cleveland Police Foundation is happy to announce a partnership with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department Crime Stoppers!

Again this summer, the ice cream truck manned by officers of the Community Relations Unit will provide ice cream for kids at pools, parks and other events. The donation for this funding was delivered by Crime Stoppers Director John Minek and Rich McIntosh, Cleveland Police Captain, Retired.

Captain McIntosh started the Community Response Unit in the 1970s. It included the Spy Glass Detail, RTA Detail, CMHA Patrol and VIP security. The captain truly knows the importance of Police-Citizen interactions.

A big “Thank You” goes out to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department Crime Stoppers for helping the Cleveland Police Foundation to carry out its mission of strengthening the bond between the members of the City of Cleveland Division of Police and the residents it serves!
