Honoring Dispatchers and Call Takers

During 2020 National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, a shout-out went to Lago East Bank for bringing Cleveland dispatchers a special lunch. This was a token of appreciation for the essential service they provide to citizens through their communications with the Cleveland Police.

There are 120 personnel in Cleveland Police Communications. This number does not include those for EMS and Fire. All the dispatchers work to coordinate responses to calls for service and emergencies.

Thank you to all the Cleveland Dispatchers and Call Takers for their hard work hand-in-hand with police, firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians every day!

The heroes behind the badge!
