Twelfth Annual Gun Buyback

Tenth Annual Gun Buyback

Ninth Annual Gun Buyback

On August 22, 2015 the City of Cleveland held the ninth annual HandGgn Buyback Program at the new Third District facility located at 4501 Chester Avenue. In exchange for operable handguns or semi-automatic rifles, citizens were given either $100 (handgun) or $200 (semi-automatic rifle) gas or food gift cards and two tickets to an upcoming Gladiator or Lake Erie Monster game. Eighth Annual Gun Buyback

The 8th Annual City of Cleveland Handgun Buyback held on September 6, 2014 surpassed its goal of removing 250 unwanted handguns from the community. The event resulted in a total 270 firearms being turned in, which included 253 handguns, 7 shotguns, and 10 rifles, 5 of which were assault weapons. Over the last eight years over 2,750 unwanted firearms have been removed via the annual gun buyback. Continue reading…

The Cleveland Police Foundation is the official charity for the Cleveland Division of Police and the only organization authorized to solicit charitable contributions on its behalf.

We provide funding for youth and community outreach programs, community policing and engagement initiatives, safety & crime prevention programs, and support the members of the Cleveland Division of Police to help them better perform their duties. Contributions to the CPF are tax deductible under section 501 (c)(3) of the IRS Code.
