Cleveland Selected for Inaugural Launch of New Mobile App for Small Businesses
Cleveland, OH, February 18, 2015– The Cleveland Police Foundation is proud to announce that we have teamed up with Imprompt2, LLC a mobile app developer, to bring the whaddayawannado app to the Greater Cleveland area. The app is designed to help small businesses attract customers during slow periods through the use of exclusive discounts and rewards.

When the app launches here in Cleveland in the coming weeks, customers will be able to choose from hundreds of daily offers on local goods and services using a smartphone or tablet. Participating merchants will include independent restaurants and bars, clothing stores, auto repair shops, and much, much more. There are currently 18 categories to choose from.
In addition to helping local businesses attract customers, a portion of all revenue generated by the whaddayawannado app in the Greater Cleveland area will be donated to local charities.

“This is a great way for us to create a recurring revenue stream for our charities” says Charles Lane, Executive Director of the Cleveland Police Foundation.

Local merchants can try the app risk free with no upfront costs and no minimum monthly fees, and they can cancel at any time for any reason.
According to Patrick Gostley, Imprompt2’s founder, “This is an excellent opportunity for small business owners to expose their goods and services to thousands of potential customers each day.”

Community Activist Experience Police Shoot/Don’t Shoot Scenarios
Quanell X is known in Houston for taking to the streets in protest when there is a police-related shooting. So we wanted to know how he would react if he were to go through the same life-and-death training scenarios that police use.

We followed him through training to see if it would change his mind about the dangers officers face every day.

"Wait, wait. Show me your hands," Quanell yelled during a training simulation at the Missouri City Police Department.  See What Happened Next...

Good Police Work Leads To Arrest of Violent Street Gang
Cleveland Division of Police Gang Impact Unit Investigation Leads to Arrest/Indictment of Cutthroat Gang Members

Acting on evidence gathered by the Cleveland Division of Police Gang Impact Unit, a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury has indicted 12 adult members of the Cutthroats, a violent street gang that operated in Cleveland’s Glenville neighborhood, on RICO charges and for participating in criminal gang activity. A 13th gang member faces charges in a complaint filed in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.

Twelve of these 13 defendants are now in custody. Search warrants executed during Thursday’s takedown by a task force of Cleveland Police officers, FBI agents and U.S. Marshals produced guns, ammunition and other evidence that will soon lead to additional indictments including charges stemming from a vicious December 27th attack on an individual at a McDonald’s drive through near East 105th Street and St. Clair Avenue.   Read More....
