CPD Officers Hailed as Heroes for Saving Boy

A 30-year-old man was killed and a 10-year-old boy was shot in the shoulder while riding in a car on Cleveland’s east side on Saturday, September 19th.

The man was driving on Martin Luther King Boulevard, near the intersection with Shaker Boulevard, with the child in his back seat around 2 p.m.

He was stopped at a traffic light, when a black male approached the car on foot, shooting into the vehicle and striking both victims.

The child suffered a gunshot to the shoulder. He was transported to University Hospital Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, where he is undergoing surgery.
