Officers from the Cleveland Division of Police Second District recently joined the Hispanic Police Officers Association, the Bureau of Community Relations, Public Safety Recruitment, the Mounted Unit, and SWAT for a schoolwide cookout at Waverly Elementary.
Students got an up-close look at mounted patrol horses, tactical vehicles, and even the community outreach van—all while enjoying a fun day outside with officers and school staff. With plenty of smiles, high-fives, and curious questions, the event gave kids a chance to meet the people behind the uniforms and build positive, lasting impressions.
Thank you to everyone who came together to make the day special—and to Waverly Elementary for welcoming the team.
