Cleveland Police Bringing Smiles to MetroHealth Pediatric Unit

Cleveland Police from Community Policing, the Second District, and our NICE Unit visited the kids, families, and staff at MetroHealth’s Pediatric Unit on Thursday January 31st bringing some gifts, smiles, and laughter!!

We spent some time with a wonderful little girl, Marisa, whose mother is a refugee from Burma(Myanmar). Marisa’s mother talked about her experience in Burma and how the long civil war has taken such a heavy toll on the Burmese people. She remarked that police officers in Burma do not do nice things like Cleveland police do and how nice it was that we visit children in hospitals!! She and Marisa were very appreciative of Cleveland Police and her opportunities here in the USA!!
