A group of officers from the Cleveland Division of Police traveled to Washington, DC to assist with the annual National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Candlelight Vigil.

Held each May during National Police Week, the vigil honors officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. This year’s ceremony included the name of CPD Officer Jamieson Ritter, who was added to the memorial wall alongside others who made the ultimate sacrifice.

These Cleveland officers volunteered to support the solemn event and represent their department at a national level. Chief Todd visited with the group during their time in DC to express his gratitude for their participation and presence.
