Wayne Leon St. Ignatius ’86 Fundraiser

Please consider attending the Wayne Leon St Ignatius ’86 Fundraiser on November 1, 2014, at West Park Station, from 3 to 5. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 18. Ticket includes unlimited draft beer, house wine, soft drinks, pasta, salad, and pizza. Entertainment provided by Fed Up, St. Ignatius Summer Camp silent auction, basket raffle, and a pop up Chloe and Isabel jewelry show (25% of proceeds go to the fund), and more. All proceeds go to help a son of an alumni, who chose safety forces as a career, attend St. Ignatius High School.

Members of the Cleveland Police Pipes and Drums will be part of the city’s Veterans Day parade on Nov. 11.

Officers from the Cleveland Police Mounted Unit were on hand to visit with the children.

National Night Out Against Crime, Cleveland, Ohio

On August 5, 2014 the 8th Annual National Night Out Against Crime was held at Steelyard Commons on Cleveland’s near west side. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime, drug and violence prevention as well as strengthen police and community partnerships.

The children and the officers had a blast and the interaction between them was heart warming. The kids also were presented with an educational component which included being a friend to the environment, practicing good safety principles and good sportsmanship.

CPF Inaugural Awards Recognizing Excellence in Community Service throughout the City

At the 33rd Annual Fourth District Police Community Relations Awards Dinner the CPF bestowed three awards: to a citizen, a police officer and a community group, organization or business for going above and beyond the call of duty in giving back to the community.
