Canine Unit Comes Clean

Channel 19 WOIO Featured Story by Sia Nyorkor

Canine Unit dogs often come in contact with dangerous substances – drugs, chemicals, and other hazardous materials.  The new wash station allows officers to bathe their dogs immediately after duty.  “Having it here has made it a great asset to us so we can keep our dogs healthy and clean,” said Officer Paul Fronckowiak.  The MetroHealth emergency room department – nurses, police, medics, residents – all wanted to show appreciation for the great job the Cleveland Police do in taking care of them.

The support of the Cleveland Police Foundation benefits not only the Canine Unit, but a myriad of community engagement activities and programs.  Donate at Cleveland Police Foundation Donations.
