The Cleveland weather was a bit chilly, but the coffee was hot and the conversation warm. Officers from the 2nd District and the 2nd District Community Relations team met with residents of the Tremont area at Civilization Coffee Shop on West 11th this past November 30th.
These ‘Coffee With The Cops’ events provide residents direct contact with the officers who patrol their neighborhoods. Discussions ranged from compliments on a job well done to concerns about suspicious activities on their street.
More importantly, residents get the opportunity to know the men and women of Cleveland’s ‘Blue Line’ on a more personal level, the ones who provide for their safety on a 24/7 basis.
Thanks again to Civilization Coffee for hosting, to the 2nd District Community Relations Committee for organizing, and to the officers of the 2nd District who took the time to meet and greet residents. The Cleveland Police Foundation is an ongoing supporter of the ‘Coffee With The Cops’ events.
