Fifth District Community Relations Awards

On Thursday, October 20, 2022 the Fifth District Community Relations Awards Ceremony was held at the Cleveland Job Corp. An enthusiastic crowd was on hand to honor both citizens and police officers from the Fifth District community that went beyond the call of duty while performing their individual assignments.

Also on hand to honor these recipients were Mayor Bibb, Chief Drummond and numerous other city dignitaries. The Cleveland Police Foundation also recognized and presented plaques to deserving individuals which included, Officer Rick Mauer, Ms. Janice Taylor (neighborhood activist) and the Cleveland Food Bank.

Upon completion of handing out all of the awards, an outstanding meal was served, provided by the Fifth District Community Relations Board.

Congratulations to all the recipients and a big thanks goes out to all the family, friends and citizens from the community that attended and helped to make this event a success. Also thanks to CPF Executive Director Rick DeChant and board member Jim Craciun for assisting me.
