Detective Anthony Spencer displays his Community Service Award

Bob Guttu of the Cleveland Police Foundation distributed Community Service Plaques at the annual awards ceremony and dinner on Thursday, September 21, 2017.  Cleveland Division of Police Detective Anthony Spencer, citizen and City of Cleveland Asian Liaison Chia-Min Chen, and Pierre’s Ice Cream were all recognized (Matt Thornicroft accepted for Pierre’s).  Many city dignitaries were present, including Mayor Frank Jackson, Chief Calvin Williams, and Safety Director Mike McGrath.  The evening concluded with a delicious dinner, making it a very special event for the recipients and their families, as well as for all those in attendance to honor these outstanding awardees.

We provide funding for youth and community outreach programs, community policing and engagement initiatives, safety & crime prevention programs, and support the members of the Cleveland Division of Police to help them better perform their duties.
