Shooting Wounds Cleveland Police Officer; Suspect Killed

17229211-mmmainA police officer was wounded and male suspect is dead after a shooting on Tuesday, March 10th on the city’s East Side.

The officer was shot at least once but the bullet hit his protective vest, police Chief Calvin Williams said during a briefing from the scene on the 6900 block of Ottawa Road, located just west of East 71st Street and just north of Harvard Avenue.

The officer was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center but his injuries were non-life-threatening.  Read more…
