Officers Engage in Random Acts of Kindness

Random Acts of Kindness Day was organized by the group, Sea of Blue, who work to enhance police-community relations.  Founder Mary Jo Graves said police officers jumped at the chance to participate.  Residents brought their children out to introduce them to the officers as being people “on their side and here to help.”  Sea of Blue purchased the toys to be distributed by the Cleveland, Parma, and Warrensville Heights Police Departments.  The event had special significance for Parma Police Sergeant Dean Leon, who handed out gifts in memory of his brother, fallen Cleveland Police Officer Wayne Leon.
