Helping Hurricane Harvey Survivors

Hurricane Harvey on August 24

Hurricane Harvey pummeled into Texas on August 26, causing over 40 inches of rain in some areas.  More than 30,000 people were displaced with 47 confirmed deaths. The Greater Houston metropolitan area sustained catastrophic inland flooding and recovery is expected to take years.

Retired Cleveland Patrol Officer Merilyn Bright wanted to pitch in and help the Mira Family Charity: Operation Houston, so she contacted the Cleveland Police Foundation for a meeting at Costco. Officer Bright purchased $600 in supplies for donation and CPD Lieutenant Bill Mone helped load up the supplies.

The Cleveland Police Foundation extents a big thank you to Merilyn, Bill, and especially the Miragliotta Family for helping those in need in Houston!!

If you want to donate to this great cause, see the Mira Family Charity : Operation Houston Facebook page for more details!!
