Members of the CPD continue giving back to the community.
As 2014 came to a close, the brave men and women who serve with the Cleveland Division of Police again excelled in giving back to the community.
Here are a few of the stories of officers going above and beyond the call of duty. These are just a sampling of the numerous acts of kindness shown by Cleveland police officers during this holiday season. There are countless others throughout the year, all done in the course of their duties with little or no fanfare, nor expecting any recognition.

The Cleveland Police Foundation is proud to bring some of them to light.

Employees At Progressive Insurance Extend Good Karma
In December 2014 employees of the Creative Business Operations Team at Progressive Insurance in partnership with the Cleveland Police Foundation and the Cleveland Cops For Kids program brightened Christmas for a family in need.
The team collected donations, shopped for and wrapped gifts, and donated money for food and clothing. This was the second consecutive year that they adopted a family in need for Christmas.
They joined with members of the Bureau of Community Policing and the 2nd Neighborhood Police District at the family's home when the gifts were delivered.

CPF Supports Officer Health and Fitness
Christmas came a little early for the Cleveland Division of Police Second District as a brand new treadmill was delivered to their gym this week.

On Thursday, January 8, the Cleveland Police Foundation, Community Policing Unit, and First District visited the kids at MetroHealth Hospital's Pediatric Unit. The officers passed out Cleveland Cops for Kids Teddy Bears and Cleveland Police Foundation Bears, along with Junior Police Badges to about 30 children and their families. Thank you MetroHealth for allowing us the honor and pleasure to come and spread a little joy to these wonderful children and their families.
